SLK-50 Masterbatch is a pelletized formulation containing 50% of an ultra-high molecular weight siloxane polymer dispersed in low-density polyethylene (PE). It is designed to be used as an additive in polyethylenecompatible systems to impart benefits such as processing improvements and modification of surface characteristics.

Traits

SLK-50 silicone additives for plastic used by plastics as processing aids and impart expected silicone benefits to plastics, often more efficiently than lower molecular weight silicone fluids, such as safety steady performance, little effect on the adhesion of paints, labels or decorations, more convenient to handle, good dispersion.

Functions

l         Improve the fluidity of the resin, shorten mold cycle time, lower machine wear.

l         Better internal lubricate and mould release, speed throughput, lessen deformation and product     

rejection rate.

l         Meliorate the compatibility between resin and other stuffing.

l         Lower coefficient of friction obviously, is more lubricious and greater mar and abrasion resistance.

l         Improve fire retardant properties, lower smoke rate, heat and carbon monoxide during production.

l         Heighten products' surface smoothness and touch.

l         Amend products' stretching and impact strength.

Packing, storage, transportation:

Inner packing is polythene film bag, outer package is polypropylene weave bag, 25KGS each bag. When stored in the dry environment in the original unopened package, it has a usable life of 48 months from the date of production. It can be transported expediently and easily as none-dangerous goods.

Usage

It should be blended with virgin polymer pellets to give the desired siloxane level in the final product. It can be added during compounding in a single screw extruder or added at the feed hopper during injection molding or extrusion.
